Supersonic Blues Machine may be a new band name but its members are nothing short of music royalty. Legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff (Eric Clapton, Jack White, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Melissa Etheridge, BB King, Bonnie Raitt), award winning producer/bass player Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, Leslie West, Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa, Slash, Eric Gales, George Clinton & P.Funk) and Texas blues legend, guitarist/singer Lance Lopez (Bobby Blue Bland, Lucky Peterson, Johnny Taylor) are the core of this eclectic ensemble that likes to describe its music as “50 shades of Blues”.
Their debut album “West of Flushing, South of Frisco,” released internationally by Mascot/Provogue in Feb 2016 is considered an instant classic by critics and fans. Those who have been lucky enough to attend one of their flamboyant shows have made it clear that there are few bands today that embrace live performances with as much energy and devotion as Supersonic Blues Machine!
If this “take no prisoner” attitude and sound were not enough, Supersonic Blues Machine makes a point to show camaraderie and a true music love connection by surrounding itself with some of their closest friends who are some of the best blues/rock and soul artists out there. They are united to form a sort of tribute to the 60’s traveling music circus, reminiscent of what The Rolling Stones or The Who were doing with their friends.
These friends and colleagues are far more than special guests taking turns on SBM’s records but are rotating around Supersonic’s core during live events, always creating a new experience for the fans. Its not uncommon to see the likes of Billy F. Gibbons, Robben Ford, Warren Haynes, Walter Trout, Eric Gales or Steve Lukather sharing the stage with Supersonic Blues Machine to create a one of kind night of music guaranteed to steal your attention as soon as the show is on!
